The Howling Jungle never welcomed strangers.
Every step took sank into the damp earth with a muffled shlk, the air so heavy with humidity it clung to his skin like sweat. Far above, unseen creatures screamed~high, warbling cries that bled into the constant hum of insects. The light here was wrong; green shadows swayed and twisted, making the path seem to breathe.
Still, curiosity...or hunger...drove him deeper. Thatās when he saw it.
A bloom the size of his chest, its petals a deep, bleeding crimson, glistening with slick nectar. It didnāt sway in the wind. It throbbed.
They say deep in the Howling Jungle, thereās a flower that isnāt a flower at all. Its petals pulse like muscle, slick and hungry, reeking of sweet rot that lures anything foolish enough to come close.
Faxi was one of them...just passing through, until the vines tightened around his limbs with a wet shlk and dragged him in.
The center opened, a fleshy spiral slick with nectar, and something pushed inside himāslow, deliberate, glrkā¦ glrkāuntil he felt it swelling, filling, pressing him open in ways heād never imagined.
The deeper it went, the more it pulsed, until the first egg slipped free with a lewd plup. Then another. And another.
By the time Kohana let him go, he could still feel the weight insideā¦ and the way his body clenched, aching for more.
